US based short story anthology, published quarterly, five stories published in each issue. No submission fees, in their own words: “We pay writers, they don’t pay us. We are proud to support writers who entrust us with their work”.
$1000 paid per story.
Submit either poetry or illustrations, no short fiction.

Themed issues, you can find the themes for the year on the website. Accepts submissions of short stories, flash fiction and creative non-fiction up to a maximum of 3,000 words.

The Coffin Factory
A new magazine launching October 2011. Their mission: “to provide great writing and art to people who love books, including those who do not usually read literary magazines”.
Accepts original fiction or essays, under six thousand words. No unsolicited poetry.
No payment, but at least you see your work in print (hopefully in print, assume in print, though could be just an online magazine)
